Day 1-2

You’ve arrived! We’ll meet you and take you to the hostel where you’re free to chill or join our nightly pub crawl; it’s fun and a great ice breaker. Tomorrow it’s the city walking tour so you can chow down on some of Vietnam’s famous cuisine and see Hanoi. Then this evening meet your guide and group in the hostel lobby to get prepped and ready to depart early the next day.

Day 3-4

Feast your eyes on true beauty as we head to Trang An, AKA “HaLong Bay on Land”. We take a traditional rowing boat and paddle through caves, which cut their way through awesome limestone karst to bring us to an Ancient 10th Century pagoda and temple. Quick showers and dinner in Ninh Binh town now before our overnight bus to Phong Nha National Park tomorrow.

Day 5-6

Phong Nha park is home to an abundance of wildlife and stunning scenery. Take in the crystal rivers and huge cave systems, mud baths and visit the Dark Cave via zip line or kayak. Tomorrow we visit the Vinh Moc tunnel’s in the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) in the centre of Vietnam. Built by families seeking refuge from the American war, between 1965 and 1972, 600 people lived down here and 17 babies were born within the complex. Its the Mine Action Visitors Centre in Dong Ha now for an insight into the effects of the war and a lesson from The NPA (Norwegian Peoples Aid) on the problem of unexploded bombs that lie in dormant waiting. These weapons are a lethal legacy and if you’re lucky you may get to witness a controlled explosion. Back in Hue we kick back after an intense day. Opt of a chilled one or hit the town…Hue is your oyster.

Day 7-8

Seven stories high and built in 1601, Thien Mu is not only rich in history and important Buddhist site but the tallest in Vietnam. Pat the stone turtle on his head for good luck, before we’re back on our way to a local beach to we grab lunch, cocktails and a swim while watching the sunset. Day 8 is the much anticipated ‘Top Gear Experience’. We ride motorbikes along the coast from Hue to Hoi An, taking in the coastline and breathtaking Elephant Springs as we go. Don’t forget your swimming gear, so can you play in the springs and relax for a while. Chilling over, it’s time further South to take in more amazing views along the the famous Hai Van Pass – this journey is definitely one not to be missed.

Day 9-10

Take a laid-back bike ride through bamboo groves, before a traditional basket boat ride to try your hand at crab fishing. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore some of the Old Town’s quaint shops and riverside markets. Why not treat yourself and get a suit, shirt, dress or even some shoes made! Tonight we’ll check out Hoi An’s spirited backpacker nightlife together. Today is your last day (sad faces) and it’s a free day so head to the beach, spend more time exploring, get your tailor made garms adjusted or kick back by the pool. Budding chef’s can enquire about our cooking class tour and learn some recipes to take home with you.
