Beginning with the capital of Bangkok you’ll be greeted at the airport by your awesome Tru Travels guide before meeting the rest of the group and discovering the hustle and bustle of the city for a few days.
Then it’s down to the tranquil surroundings of Khao Sok National Park where you can slow the pace down and get back to nature with an amazing floating bungalows overnight stay.
Your final stop is the infamous Koh Phangan, made famous by the epic Full Moon Parties. Your stay here will be filled with amazing beaches, kayaking, snorkelling and even a Muay Thai lesson!
It’s 8 days of amazing fun, sun and good times with heaps of new travel buddies!
But if 8 days isn’t enough check out our 13 day Full Moon Party Experience or 18 Day Thai Island Hopper Tour!
When you land, we pick you up at the airport, and take you directly to your hotel. You have a free day to get to know your group and get settled. In the evening we go out on the infamous Khao San Road for drinks.
See the capital by the water as we travel by longtail boat along the Chao Phraya River, you’ll explore Bangkok and experience some of Thailand’s heritage. We visit two prestigious temples – Wat Arun and Wat Pho, to see the very impressive giant, gold reclining Buddha statue. The rest of the day is free for exploring; you may want to try some of the famous shopping in Bangkok as its known for being notoriously cheap. Remember to always try and barter with the street vendors, you can sometimes get as much as 50% off the original price! Then in the evening we meet again for dinner, drinks and more group bonding.
Try a traditional Thai massage before we travel overnight on the train down south, and swap the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for the tranquil lakes of Khao Sok National Park – situated in the Surat Thani province of Thailand.
KHAO SOK FLOATING BUNGLOWS
Head to our floating bungalows on a longtail boat whilst stopping along the way for a quick dip and dive. Try your hand at some kayaking or chill with a beer in a tube in front of the stunning backdrop of this limestone mountain range. We’ll be staying in floating bungalows on a fresh-water lake surrounded by rainforest that looks like something out of Jurassic Park!
ARRIVE IN KOH PHANGAN, BOTTLE BEACH
Wake up early on the lake and enjoy a spot of breakfast before we head to Koh Phangan. When we arrive we go straight to a secluded paradise beach, Bottle Beach. Our favourite beach in the world. It is quiet, amazingly beautiful, only accessible by boat and to make it better, we pretty much get the whole place to ourselves and stay in beach huts overlooking the ocean. Relax here for the rest of the afternoon, enjoy a bit of volleyball, sunbathing or swimming. In the evening we can enjoy dinner and some cocktails on the beach next to a campfire with our own private fire show.
MUAY THAI LESSON
A nice chilled wake up to the sound of waves rolling on the beach. You will have a free morning to make the most of your surroundings. You can go kayaking, play volleyball, top up the tan, go trekking to view points or catch up on some sleep. We are picked up early afternoon and taken to a local gym to try your hand at a bit of Muay Thai boxing, Thailand’s national sport. After we head to our awesome accommodation at Echo Beach backpackers where we will spend the final two nights. We will arrange a time to meet for dinner and jump in a taxi to Haad Rinn where you will discover more beach bars for those who fancy a few drinks.
ISLAND BOAT TRIP
Today we embark on a voyage around Koh Phangan. We spend the day taking in the amazing tropical island scenery, stop for some snorkelling at the coolest hotspots and visit Than Sadet waterfall (seasonal). You might think it couldn’t get any better but it does, we have free drinks and food throughout the day with music. The last night we take you to the best restaurant in town for a slap up meal on us. Its here where we prepare to say our goodbyes to our newest friends as our adventure draws to a close so we hit the beach bars for one last boogie to cap a great week.
Check out is at 11am and our awesome staff are on hand to help you plan your next footsteps, whether it is continuing your adventure or heading back to Bangkok to catch a flight, we will make sure you get to where you need to be.
