Learning to scuba dive and completing your open water dive course is something we feel everyone should experience – the world is 70% water after all and if you’re not able to explore the big blue you’re missing out on some incredible adventures!
The 3 day open water dive course in Byron Bay, Australia with our buddies at Byron Bay Dive Centre will give you all the skills needed to be a confident and competent scuba diver – opening up a whole new set of experiences on your travels!
Under the guidance of your experienced and certified dive instructors you’ll learn all the skills needed to pass your Open Water Course – from how to setup your dive kit, to clearing your reg and of course the proper dive safety protocols.
This is done through a mixture of pool work (which is heated to 25 degrees for maximum comfort whilst training!) and open water dives.
The open water dives are done at the famous Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, one of the best dives sites in Australia, where you’ll meet some of the amazing creatures that call this place home. Depending on the season you’ll have the opportunity to swim alongside Grey Nurse Sharks, Manta Rays, Leopards sharks and more!
Once you’ve successfully completed your Open Water Dive Course you’ll have gained a certification that is recognised worldwide and a new found passion for the underwater world!
To allow you to make the most of your time on the road and enjoy exploring Byron Bay you’ll complete your theory modules online before arriving. This allows you to complete the course in 3 days rather than 4 – ideal for those on a tight time scale.
