After a day cruising along the beach highways, through the rainforest and a refreshing swim in Lake Mackenzie it’s time to hit the road again to Airlie Beach – gateway to the Whitsundays.

With a couple of nights in the party town of Airlie Beach and a day trip out to the world famous Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach you’ll soak up all the natural beauty the Whitsundays has to offer.

Next stop up the coast is the stunning Magnetic Island, where you’ll go koala spotting, had feed wild rock wallabies and enjoy the chilled beach from vibes at your hostel.

The final stop is Cairns, with all it’s bustling nightlife. But of course the highlight here is the Great Barrier Reef – which has to be top of any Aussie bucket list.
